We like to think of the XL knots as the big siblings to Virginia Sin's signature ceramic knots always wanted. Each one is knotted by hand out of extruded stoneware coils. The XL Fist Knot’s tightly woven shape makes a statement solo or paired with your favorite stack of books.

Virginia Sin, the woman behind SIN, is a Brooklyn-based multi-disciplinary designer. In 2006, she left LA for Brooklyn, abandoning, “way better tacos” in the name of making a name for herself. With her collections of overalls, small rocks and medium-sized succulents in tow, she set up a studio in Greenpoint and developed her first line: The Gluttony Collection.

By 2007, the collection had attracted the attention of Design Within Reach and received “Most Sustainable” in the Modern+Design+Function Competition. Nine years later, in 2016, it was acquired by The New York Historical Society Museum, where it became part of their 20th and 21st century objects collection.

Her porcelain paper plates are used at Eleven Madison Park to serve the restaurant’s picnic prix fixe. This and more of Virginia’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, The Today Show, Goop, Domino, NYT and more.

Working to continually broaden her design horizons, Virginia has focused her recent attention on redefining ceramic coils, translating her graphic designs into weave structures and challenging the limitations of clay in the lighting industry, in hopes to bring some extra warmth into the world.

RETURN POLICY

Exchange or store credit is available on eligible (please see final sale items, below) full-priced items with a receipt within 15 days of purchase. No refunds, and no price adjustments for previously purchased merchandise. Items must qualify for exchange, and be unworn and in original condition - including packaging. Any jewelry that has been custom-ordered, modified or sized we are unable to accept for exchange.

To ensure we offer the highest quality items to our customers and abide by sanitary standards, the following categories of products are not eligible for exchange and are  FINAL SALE: 

  • apothecary & fragrance (including all perishable goods)*
  • sunglasses & hats
  • all sale items (items sold at a discount)

  • international orders

*note on fragrance: 

All fragrance and apothecary sales are final. Fragrance is a personal, hygienic product, and once a bottle has left the shop we can't resell it — even unopened — with the same confidence we owe the next customer.

If you're not sure about a scent, samples are the right move — stop by the shop and we'll help you find one. 

Once an order is placed, we cannot guarantee that it may be cancelled. Please reach out to us immediately if you need to cancel your order. 

SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If complimentary shipping was received by the customer, any exchange or store credit will be in the amount of the item(s), less a $5-20 processing charge.

Refused shipments are not eligible for refund.
