"The Agrigento Olive Tree Candle is inspired by sunset in two places: our Olive grove at Flamingo Estate, and the ancient Olive groves surrounding Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples, on the southern coast of Sicily.

But they are closer than you might think. At the Estate, our Olive Trees are descendants of old Mediterranean varieties, grown from cuttings whose ancestors took root long ago in Europe. At sunset, their silver leaves catch the last light, the trunks turn dark and sculptural, and the whole garden smells green, floral, woody, and alive.

Agrigento holds that same feeling: ancient Greek temples rising from a Mediterranean garden of Olive Trees, Almond, Carob, Citrus, and wild herbs. This candle is not about Olive Oil. It is about the Olive Tree itself: the leaf, the bark, the branch, the grove.

It is herbal, bright, and deeply unusual. Galbanum and Violet Leaf give it a vivid green snap, Eucalyptus brings a clean brightness, and Sandalwood settles everything into soft, sacred warmth. When lit, something surprising opens up: a scent that is sweet, floral, green, and grassy all at once. Strange and beautiful, and unlike anything else we make."

HOW TO USE

When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick. When burning the candle after the first burn, do not let it burn for over 3 hours at a time.

Ideally, we recommend keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.

After each burn, see that the wick is centered in the wax. This will also ensure that the glass does not overheat. The wick and flame should never be touching the glass. When approaching the end of the candle, leave ¼ inch of wax unburned and ensure you are not burning the candle for more than 3 hours. The glass can get overheated without the presence of wax and break.

Exchange or store credit is available on eligible (please see final sale items, below) full-priced items with a receipt within 15 days of purchase. No refunds, and no price adjustments for previously purchased merchandise. Items must qualify for exchange, and be unworn and in original condition - including packaging. Any jewelry that has been custom-ordered, modified or sized we are unable to accept for exchange.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If complimentary shipping was received by the customer, any exchange or store credit will be in the amount of the item(s), less a $5-20 processing charge.
